LTE Trial has begun

Technology moves forward and here at Alamo Broadband we do our best to keep up! Since about October 2014 we have been quietly beta testing new equipment that uses LTE (Long Term Evolution) as the underlying transport mechanism. LTE is commonly referred to as “4G” and if you have a smart phone you have probably experienced mobile LTE. LTE is the most efficient and fastest network technology at the current time. It is what all the ‘big boys’ use for their mobile networks and now Alamo Broadband has it for fixed service in the Waterwood Subdivision. LTE promises speeds unheard of using the current generation of fixed wireless equipment and we have seen it deliver. In addition, it can reach customers that before now were impossible to service.
